Installation Instructions

To ensure a secure and reliable connection for the HDPE double-wall bellows and tubes B and C, utilize a blend of mechanical and thermal fusion techniques. Key connection methods include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline should rest on an earthen arc foundation. For typical soil conditions, lay a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand on undisturbed soil or a compacted backfill foundation below the pipe. If the soil is of poor quality, a sand gravel base layer not less than 200mm thick should be used, possibly in two layers: a lower layer of 100-150mm thick gravel with particle sizes of 5-32mm, topped with a 50mm thick layer of coarse sand. The base density must comply with Table 2 specifications. For soft soil foundations with bearing capacities below design requirements or disturbed by construction, the foundation must first be reinforced until specified bearing capacity is achieved before laying the medium coarse sand layer.

2. The axillary corner within the pipeline's designed earth arc foundation support angle must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfill area should extend at least beyond the supporting angle 2α plus 30 degrees, and the compactness must meet technical regulation standards.

3. Grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be excavated concurrently with pipeline laying. The groove dimensions (length, width, depth) should correspond to the pipe joint size. Once joints are completed, immediately backfill with medium coarse sand to achieve the required density.

4. In areas susceptible to uneven longitudinal settlement due to factors like pipeline load and soil changes, the foundation must be reinforced before laying the pipeline.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, employ composite methods such as sand piles and stone piles. Avoid rigid treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations.
