Installation Instructions

The connection techniques for HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes are diverse, featuring an array of mechanical and thermal fusion procedures. Key modes include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection, ensuring robust and reliable jointing.

1. The pipeline installation should be set upon an earth arc base. For soils of average quality, it's essential to lay a 100mm thick medium coarse sand base on either the undisturbed soil or a compacted backfill base below the pipe. In cases of poor soil foundation, consider a sand gravel base layer of at least 200mm thick, which can be arranged in two layers: a lower layer with gravel of 5~32mm particle size and thickness between 100~150mm, topped with a coarse sand layer no less than 50mm thick. Ensure the base density adheres to the specifications outlined in Table 2. For soft soil foundations where the bearing capacity falls short of design requirements or is impacted by construction activities, the foundation must be reinforced. Once the foundation achieves the required bearing capacity, proceed to lay the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. Within the designed earth arc foundation's support angle for the pipeline, the axillary corner must be filled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. Ensure the backfill extends beyond the support angle 2α by at least 30 degrees and meets the compactness criteria of the technical standards.

3. The grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections should be excavated alongside pipeline laying. Groove dimensions—length, width, and depth—depend on the pipe joint size. After joint completion, promptly backfill the area with medium coarse sand to ensure proper density and stability.

4. In sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline might occur due to factors like load variations and soil changes, it is crucial to reinforce the foundation prior to laying the pipeline.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundation treatment, adopt composite methods such as sand or stone piling. Avoid rigid foundation solutions like driven piles, concrete pads, or strip foundations to maintain flexibility and integrity.
