Installation Instructions

The connection techniques for our exceptional HDPE double-wall bellows, as well as for B and C tubes, encompass both mechanical and thermal fusion procedures. The prominent methods include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection. These methods ensure a secure and efficient installation process, reinforcing the durability and reliability of the drainage system.

1. The pipeline must be meticulously founded on an earth arc base. In general soil conditions, a foundational layer of medium-coarse sand, 100mm thick, should be laid upon either an undisturbed soil foundation or a compacted backfill foundation beneath the pipeline's base. Should the soil quality fall below optimal standards, an enhanced sand gravel base, no less than 200mm thick, may be utilized. This can be implemented in two robust layers: a lower gravel layer, with particle sizes ranging from 5~32mm in thickness of 100~150mm, overlaid with an upper coarse sand layer of minimum 50mm thickness. The foundational density is required to comply with the stipulations of Table 2. In scenarios involving soft soil foundations, where the bearing capacity does not meet design specifications or is compromised due to construction-related precipitation, it is imperative to fortify the foundation. This is done by ensuring the soil's bearing capacity reaches the stated specifications before laying the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the designed earth arc foundation's supporting angle range must be properly backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. This backfilling should extend beyond the supporting angle 2α by at least 30. It is essential that the compactness of the backfill adheres strictly to the technical regulations to ensure structural stability and integrity.

3. When laying the pipeline foundation, grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connection should be carefully excavated in tandem with pipeline installation. The dimensions of the groove—length, width, and depth—depend on the size of the pipe joint. Once joint assembly is concluded, it is crucial to immediately backfill the area with medium coarse sand, ensuring the density is optimal for structural stability.

4. In sections where the pipeline might experience longitudinal uneven settlement—owing to pipeline load or changes in the ground soil—the foundation must be fortified prior to laying the pipeline. This preemptive reinforcement mitigates potential settlement issues, ensuring the pipeline's longevity and performance.
For the foundational treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, composite methods such as sand and stone piles are recommended. These techniques offer superior support and stability. Avoid employing rigid foundation treatment measures such as driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations, as they are not suitable for the flexibility required by polyethylene systems.
