Installation Instructions
1. Before embarking on the installation, it's crucial that every Wilvida HDPE PE100 Composite Pipe, specifically the 75mm Water Supply variety, is subjected to a meticulous inspection process. This ensures strict compliance with our exceptional product standards. Any pipe failing to achieve these exacting standards is strictly barred from installation, safeguarding your project from any compromise.
2. Handle each pipe with the highest degree of care during transportation and positioning. Avoid dragging or rolling the pipes, and steer clear of employing heavy machinery such as forklifts or tractors, which might pose a risk to the pipes' integrity in the trench. Ensuring gentle handling preserves the quality and functionality of the pipes.
3. Maintain a water-free trench environment during the entire pipe-laying procedure. It's optimal to align trench excavation alongside pipe installation to facilitate a seamless process. The groove dimensions must match the interface length, with a depth ranging from 50-100mm and a width not less than the pipe's outer diameter. Once the interface is completed, promptly backfill the groove with medium-coarse sand for stability.
4. For cutting pipes to desired lengths, always employ mechanical methods to achieve precise, clean, and flat cuts perpendicular to the pipe axis. Avoid using open flames, as this can compromise the pipe's structural integrity and safety.
5. When there's a need to adjust pipe diameters or connect branch pipes, always use appropriate pipe fittings to ensure a safe and effective connection. Refrain from creating direct openings on pipes or fittings, as this could jeopardize the system's integrity and performance.
6. Pipes should be laid in accordance with the precise slope specified in the design requirements. Ensure the elevation error remains within the national standard GB 50268 limits, titled 'Code for the Construction and Application of Water Supply and Drainage Pipe Engineering', to guarantee optimal system functionality.
7. During low ambient temperatures or conditions nearing minimum thresholds, it is advisable to utilize fusion or flange connections. It is essential that all connecting components, such as sockets, sleeves, and seals, are kept immaculate, free from soil, water, or any impurities. Apply anti-corrosion treatments to metallic parts like looping flanges and bolts, taking into account soil quality and adhering to relevant standards to enhance durability and longevity.
