Installation Instructions

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows with b and c tubes encompass both mechanical connections and an array of advanced thermal fusion techniques. The primary methods include butt fusion, electrofusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connections, and compression connections, each engineered for robust and reliable performance.

1. The pipeline installation should be based on an earth arc foundation. For standard soil quality, a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand should be placed on the undisturbed soil foundation or a compacted backfill foundation beneath the pipe. In cases of poor soil quality, a sand gravel base layer of no less than 200mm in thickness is recommended. This can be laid in two layers: the lower layer consisting of 100-150mm thick gravel with a particle size of 5~32mm, and the upper layer of coarse sand, not less than 50mm thick. The base density must adhere to the specifications outlined in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or affected by construction activities, the foundation should be fortified first. Once the required bearing capacity is achieved, the medium coarse sand foundation layer can be laid.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfill range should extend beyond the supporting angle 2α by at least 30, and the backfill compactness must comply with technical regulations.

3. The grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be excavated concurrently with the pipeline laying process. The dimensions of the groove—length, width, and depth—should match the pipe joint size. Once the joint is complete, backfill with medium coarse sand immediately to ensure density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to factors such as pipeline load and soil changes, it is imperative to reinforce the foundation prior to laying the pipeline to maintain structural integrity.
For foundational treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, methods such as sand piles and stone piles should be used. Avoid rigid foundational treatments such as driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations to ensure the pipeline's durability and flexibility.
