Installation Instructions

The connection modes of HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes include mechanical connection and a series of thermal fusion procedures. The primary methods are butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline should be supported by an earthen arc foundation. For general soil quality, lay a 100mm thick medium coarse sand base layer on undisturbed soil or a compacted backfill foundation below the pipe. If the foundation soil is poor, use a sand gravel base of at least 200mm thickness. It can also be laid in two layers: the lower layer of gravel with a particle size of 5-32mm, thickness of 100-150mm, and an upper layer of coarse sand, not less than 50mm thick. The base density must meet the specifications in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or compromised by construction precipitation, the foundation must first be strengthened. Once the specified bearing capacity is achieved, lay the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earthen arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should be at least the supporting angle 2α plus 30, and compacted according to technical regulations.

3. The grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be dug alongside pipeline laying. The groove’s length, width, and depth are determined by the pipe joint size. After joint completion, backfill the density immediately with medium coarse sand.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to load or soil changes, reinforce the foundation before laying the pipeline.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, use composite methods like sand or stone piles. Avoid rigid methods such as driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations.
