Installation Instructions

 

1. For installing buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, it is imperative to exclusively use electric fusion welding and hot melt docking methods. Screw connections and bonding are strictly prohibited. Ensure that every polyethylene water supply pipeline connection is achieved with specialized tools. Refrain from using open flames for heating during the connection process.

2. Polyethylene pipes must be connected using PE pipes and fittings of the same brand, material, and SDR rating. Before commencing the connection, conduct a rigorous test to confirm that the quality meets the required standards.

3. When joining polyethylene water supply pipelines, ensure that the pipe ends are immaculate. Temporarily seal the pipe openings at the end of each work session. Immediately inspect the interface upon completing the connection.

 

4. Both before and after performing hot melt butt welding, meticulously clean the heating plate with a pristine cotton cloth. Follow the heating time and temperature guidelines strictly as specified by the manufacturers of the hot melt butt welding machine and the pipes and fittings.

5. Adhere to the prescribed pressure holding and cooling durations for hot melt butt welding as outlined by the equipment and pipe manufacturers. During these periods, avoid moving or applying pressure to the connecting parts.

6. After connection, it is essential to conduct a water pressure test on the pipes. Perform this test within 1 hour of completing the hot-melt weld. Secure the pipeline and expose the joints before the hydrostatic test. Fill the pipeline with water, clear out any air, and then check for water tightness.

7. The pipeline engineering construction can only be deemed operational after successfully passing the final acceptance inspection.
