Installation Instructions
1. Before embarking on installation, each Wilvida HDPE PE100 Composite Pipe, specifically the 75mm Water Supply Pipe, must undergo meticulous scrutiny to assure compliance with the pinnacle of product excellence. Pipes failing this rigorous evaluation are strictly barred from installation, ensuring only the best quality is upheld.
2. Handle each pipe with exceptional caution during transportation. Refrain from dragging, rolling, or employing heavy machinery such as forklifts, tractors, or any other equipment that could inflict damage on the pipes within the trench.
3. Maintain a water-free trench throughout the pipe-laying process. Ideally, synchronize trench excavation with pipe installation. The trench groove must match the interface length, possessing a depth of 50-100mm and a width no less than the pipe's outer diameter. Upon completing the interface, promptly backfill the groove with medium coarse sand, ensuring stability.
4. For cutting pipes to desired lengths, utilize mechanical methods to achieve clean, flat cuts perpendicular to the pipe axis. Avoid using open flames to cut, preserving the pipe's integrity.
5. When it is necessary to alter pipe diameters or connect branch pipes, always employ appropriate pipe fittings. Avoid making direct openings on pipes or fittings for these connections to maintain the integrity of the system.
6. Install pipes according to the precise slope specified in the design requirements, ensuring the elevation error aligns with the constraints set by the national standard GB 50268, 'Code for the Construction and Application of Water Supply and Drainage Pipe Engineering'.
7. Under conditions of low ambient temperatures or at near-minimum thresholds, opt for fusion or flange connections. Ensure all connecting parts, such as sockets, sleeves, and seals, are pristine, free from soil, water, or other contaminants. Apply anti-corrosion treatments to metal elements, including looping flanges and bolts, based on soil conditions and relevant standards.
