Installation Instructions

 

1. When installing buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, it is essential to employ electric fusion welding and hot melt docking methods exclusively. Screw connections and bonding are strictly prohibited. Ensure that specialized tools are used for each type of polyethylene water supply connection. Avoid using open flames for heating during the connection process to ensure safety and efficacy.

2. Polyethylene pipes must be connected using PE pipes and fittings of the same brand, material, and SDR rating. Prior to commencing the connection, conduct a comprehensive test to confirm that the quality meets the required standards, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

3. When joining polyethylene water supply pipelines, ensure that the pipe ends are pristine. Temporarily seal the pipe openings at the end of each work session to prevent contamination. Immediately inspect the interface upon completing the connection to ensure a secure and leak-free joint.

 

4. Before and after performing hot melt butt welding, thoroughly clean the heating plate with a pristine cotton cloth. Adhere strictly to the heating time and temperature guidelines specified by the manufacturers of the hot melt butt welding machine, as well as the pipes and fittings, to ensure a robust and reliable connection.

5. Follow the prescribed pressure holding and cooling durations for hot melt butt welding as outlined by the equipment and pipe manufacturers. During these periods, it is crucial not to move or apply pressure to the connecting parts, ensuring the integrity and strength of the weld.

6. After completing the connection, it is essential to conduct a water pressure test on the pipes within 1 hour. Secure the pipeline and expose the joints prior to the hydrostatic test. Fill the pipeline with water, clear out any air, and then rigorously check for water tightness to ensure there are no leaks.

7. The pipeline engineering construction can only be deemed operational after successfully passing the final acceptance inspection, ensuring that all connections and installations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
