2. Handle each pipe with exceptional care during relocation processes. It is crucial to prevent any dragging, rolling, or the usage of heavy machinery like forklifts or tractors that might compromise the structural integrity of the pipes when situated in the trench.
3. During the pipe-laying operation, maintain a trench free from water to facilitate seamless installation. Synchronize trench excavation with the installation process for efficiency. The trench groove should match the pipe's interface length, with a depth of 50-100mm and a width exceeding the pipe's outer diameter. Complete the interface by immediately backfilling the groove with medium coarse sand, securing the pipes in place and maintaining structural stability.
4. When cutting pipes to their requisite lengths, utilize mechanical means to achieve precise, flat cuts that are perpendicular to the pipe axis. This practice is crucial to preserving the pipe's integrity, and open flames should be strictly avoided to prevent any potential damage.
5. For modifications in pipe diameters or the integration of branch pipes, always select appropriate pipe fittings. To uphold the system's integrity, refrain from forming direct openings on the pipes or fittings, thereby ensuring a robust and dependable connection throughout the system.
6. Install pipes in conformity with the specified slope detailed in the design specifications. It is vital to maintain the elevation error within the parameters set by the national standard GB 50268, 'Code for the Construction and Application of Water Supply and Drainage Pipe Engineering' to guarantee optimal functionality and compliance.
7. In conditions where ambient temperatures are low or near their minimum thresholds, opt for fusion or flange connections. It is crucial that all connecting components, such as sockets, sleeves, and seals, are pristine and free from soil, water, or other contaminants. To further protect the system, apply anti-corrosion treatments to metal components like looping flanges and bolts, tailored to the soil quality and adhering to relevant standards.
