Installation Instructions
1. Before commencing installation, it is imperative that each Wilvida HDPE PE100 Composite Pipe, 75mm Water Supply undergoes a thorough and meticulous inspection. This step is crucial to ensure compliance with the most exacting industry standards. Any pipe that does not conform to these elevated quality benchmarks must be strictly excluded from installation.
2. Handle each pipe with the greatest care during transportation and setup. It is essential to prevent any dragging or rolling of the pipes. Refrain from using heavy machinery like forklifts or tractors, or any equipment that could potentially harm the pipes when placed in the trench.
3. Maintain the trench in a dry state throughout the pipe-laying activity. Ideally, coordinate trench excavation closely with the installation of pipes. The trench groove should align precisely with the pipe interface length, having a depth between 50-100mm and a width that exceeds the pipe's outer diameter. Immediately fill the groove with medium coarse sand once the interface is secured.
4. For cutting pipes to desired lengths, always opt for mechanical cutting techniques to achieve neat, even cuts that are perfectly perpendicular to the pipe's axis. Avoid using open flames for cutting to preserve the structural integrity of the pipes.
5. When changing pipe diameters or attaching branch pipes, always employ appropriate pipe fittings. To maintain the system's integrity, refrain from creating direct openings on pipes or fittings for connections.
6. Install pipes following the designated slope as per the design specifications, ensuring that any elevation discrepancies remain within the national standard GB 50268 limits, 'Code for the Construction and Application of Water Supply and Drainage Pipe Engineering'.
7. In environments with low ambient temperatures or conditions approaching minimum thresholds, use fusion or flange connections. Ensure all connecting elements, such as sockets, sleeves, and seals, are impeccably clean, free from soil, water, or other impurities. Apply appropriate anti-corrosion measures to metallic parts like looping flanges and bolts, taking into account the soil quality and applicable standards.
