Installation Instructions

The HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes offer versatile connection modes, including mechanical connections and a series of advanced thermal fusion procedures. The primary methods consist of butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connections, and compression connections.

1. The pipeline should be based on an earth arc. For general soil quality, a base layer of medium coarse sand, 100mm thick, should be laid on undisturbed soil or compacted foundation. For poor soil quality, use a sand-gravel base layer at least 200mm thick, potentially laid in two layers: a lower layer of 5~32mm gravel, 100~150mm thick, and an upper layer of coarse sand, at least 50mm thick. The base density must meet the specifications in Table 2. For soft soil foundations with insufficient bearing capacity or disturbed by construction precipitation, the foundation must be reinforced before the medium coarse sand layer is laid.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range shall not be less than the supporting angle 2α plus 30, and the compactness must comply with technical regulations.

3. The grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connection in the pipeline foundation should be dug in tandem with pipeline laying. The groove dimensions should correspond to the pipe joint size. Upon joint completion, the groove should be backfilled with medium coarse sand immediately.

4. For sections prone to longitudinal uneven settlement due to pipeline load or ground soil changes, the foundation should be reinforced before pipeline laying.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, adopt sand pile, stone pile, and other composite foundation treatment methods. Avoid rigid foundation treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations.
