Installation Instructions

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows, B, and C tubes encompass mechanical connections and a variety of thermal fusion processes. Key techniques include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline installation should commence with an earth arc foundation. For standard soil types, a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand should be laid on undisturbed soil or compacted backfill. In cases of poor soil quality, a sand gravel base of at least 200mm thick is recommended, which can be layered. The lower layer should consist of gravel (5-32mm particle size) with a thickness of 100-150mm, topped with a minimum 50mm layer of coarse sand. The base density must meet the requirements outlined in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, any disturbance affecting the bearing capacity (e.g., due to construction precipitation) must be addressed by strengthening the foundation before laying the medium coarse sand base.

2. The axillary corners within the support angle range of the pipeline's designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfill area should extend beyond the support angle 2α by at least 30 degrees, and the compactness must meet technical regulation standards.

3. Grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be excavated concurrently with pipeline laying. The groove dimensions (length, width, and depth) should match the pipe joint size. Upon joint completion, backfill the groove with medium coarse sand to the required density immediately.

4. In sections prone to longitudinal uneven settlement due to pipeline load or soil changes, reinforce the foundation prior to pipeline installation.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundations, composite treatments like sand piles or stone piles should be used. Avoid rigid treatments such as driven piles, concrete pads, or strip foundations.
