Installation Instructions

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and types B and C tubes encompass both mechanical connections and various thermal fusion techniques. Key methods include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connections, and compression connections.

1. The pipeline should rest on an earth arc base. For typical soil quality, lay a 100mm thick medium coarse sand base layer on the undisturbed soil foundation or on the compacted backfill below the pipe's bottom. For poor soil quality, use a sand-gravel base layer no less than 200mm thick, which can be laid in two layers: a lower layer of gravel with 5~32mm particle size and 100~150mm thickness, and an upper layer of coarse sand at least 50mm thick. The base density must adhere to the requirements in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity does not meet design requirements or foundation disturbance from construction or precipitation impacts the bearing capacity, the foundation must be strengthened first. Once the foundation reaches the required bearing capacity, lay the medium coarse sand base layer.

2. The axillary corner within the designed earth arc foundation's supporting angle for the pipeline must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should extend beyond the supporting angle 2α by at least 30 degrees, and the compactness of the backfill must meet technical regulation specifications.

3. The grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connection in the pipeline foundation should be excavated concurrently with the pipeline laying. The groove's dimensions—length, width, and depth—should match the pipe joint size. After the joint is completed, promptly backfill the area with medium coarse sand to ensure proper density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to pipeline load or ground soil changes, the foundation should be reinforced before laying the pipeline.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, adopt composite methods such as sand piling or stone piling. Avoid rigid foundation treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations.
