Installation Instructions

 

1. For the installation of buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, it is absolutely essential to use electric fusion welding and hot melt docking methods. Screw connections and bonding are strictly forbidden. Each type of polyethylene water supply pipeline connection must be carried out with specialized tools, ensuring no open flames are used during the connection process.

2. Polyethylene pipes must be connected using PE pipes and fittings that share the same brand, material, and SDR rating. Before commencing the connection, perform a rigorous test to ensure the quality meets the required standards.

3. When joining polyethylene water supply pipelines, it is imperative that the pipe ends are immaculate. Temporarily seal the pipe openings at the end of each work session. Immediately inspect the interface upon completing the connection to ensure precision.

 

4. Both before and after performing hot melt butt welding, meticulously clean the heating plate with a pristine cotton cloth. Adhere strictly to the specified heating time and temperature guidelines provided by the manufacturers of the hot melt butt welding machine and the pipes and fittings.

5. Follow the designated pressure holding and cooling durations for hot melt butt welding as outlined by both the equipment and pipe manufacturers. During these periods, it is critical not to move or apply pressure to the connecting parts.

6. After connection, it is crucial to perform a water pressure test on the pipes. This test should be conducted within 1 hour of completing the hot-melt weld. Secure the pipeline and expose the joints prior to the hydrostatic test. Fill the pipeline with water, expel any air, and then check for water tightness.

7. The pipeline engineering construction can only be deemed fully operational after successfully passing the final acceptance inspection.
