Installation Instructions

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and B and C tubes offer both mechanical and thermal fusion options, including: butt fusion, electrofusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline should be installed on a natural earth arc. For standard soil quality, a layer of medium coarse sand, 100mm thick, should be placed on the undisturbed soil foundation or on a backfilled and compacted foundation beneath the pipe. In cases of poor soil quality, a sand-gravel base layer of at least 200mm thickness is recommended. This can be laid in two layers: a 100-150mm thick lower layer of gravel (particle size 5-32mm) and an upper layer of coarse sand, at least 50mm thick. The base density must conform to Table 2's specifications. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity falls below design requirements or is disturbed by construction or precipitation, the foundation must be reinforced to meet the specified bearing capacity before laying the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the support angle range of the designed earth arc foundation of the pipeline must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling area should extend beyond the support angle 2α plus 30 degrees, and the compactness must meet technical regulation standards.

3. Grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connection in the pipeline foundation should be excavated during the laying of the pipeline. The length, width, and depth of the groove should be determined based on the pipe joint size. Once the joint is completed, immediately backfill the groove with medium coarse sand to ensure proper density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to factors such as load and ground soil changes, the foundation should be reinforced before pipeline installation.
Sand pile, stone pile, and other composite foundation treatment methods should be used for the foundation of polyethylene drainage pipes. Avoid rigid foundation treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations.
