Installation Instructions
 

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and B and C tubes encompass both mechanical connections and various thermal fusion techniques. The primary connection modes include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline installation should be based on an earth arc foundation. For general soil conditions, a layer of medium coarse sand with a thickness of 100mm should be applied on the undisturbed soil or on a compacted backfill foundation below the pipe. In cases of poor soil quality, a sand gravel base layer of at least 200mm should be used. This can be laid in two layers: the lower layer consisting of 5~32mm gravel with a thickness of 100~150mm, and the upper layer of coarse sand with a minimum thickness of 50mm. The base density must comply with the specifications in Table 2. For soft soil foundations with bearing capacities below design requirements, or when construction activities disturb the foundation, the foundation should be strengthened. After achieving the required bearing capacity, the medium coarse sand base layer can be laid.

2. The axillary corner within the pipeline's designed support angle range must be backfilled using medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfill range should extend at least 30 degrees beyond the support angle 2α, and the compactness must meet the technical regulations.

3. Grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections should be excavated in tandem with the pipeline laying process. The dimensions of the groove-length, width, and depth-should correspond to the pipe joint size. Once the joint is complete, the area should be backfilled with medium coarse sand immediately to ensure proper density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline might occur due to pipeline load or ground soil changes, the foundation should be reinforced before laying the pipeline.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, composite methods such as sand piles or stone piles should be employed. Rigid foundation treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations are not recommended.
