Installation Instructions

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and both B and C tubes encompass a range of mechanical and thermal fusion techniques. The primary methods include butt fusion, electrofusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connections, and compression connections.

1. The pipeline should be supported by an earth arc foundation. For standard soil conditions, lay a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand on the undisturbed soil foundation or compacted backfill. In cases of poor soil quality, use at least a 200mm thick sand gravel base layer. This can be arranged in two layers: a lower layer of 100-150mm thick gravel (particle size 5~32mm) and an upper layer of coarse sand with a minimum thickness of 50mm. The base density must adhere to Table 2 specifications. For soft soil foundations with inadequate bearing capacity or disturbed original soil due to construction or precipitation, reinforcement is required. Once the foundation meets the specified bearing capacity, lay the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the support angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling area should extend beyond the support angle 2α by at least 30 degrees, and the compactness of the backfill must meet technical regulation standards.

3. Dig grooves at the socket interface and sleeve connection points as the pipeline is laid. The dimensions of the groove should correspond to the pipe joint size. After completing the joint, immediately backfill with medium coarse sand to ensure proper density.

4. In sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to pipeline load or changes in ground soil, the foundation should be reinforced before laying the pipeline.
For treating the foundation of polyethylene drainage pipes, use composite methods such as sand piles or stone piles. Avoid rigid foundation treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations.
