Installation Instructions

 

The connection modes of HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes include mechanical connection and a series of thermal fusion procedures. The main modes are butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline should be based on a stable earth arc. For general soil quality, lay a layer of medium coarse sand base with a thickness of 100mm on undisturbed soil foundation or a compacted backfilled foundation below the pipe bottom. For poor soil quality, a sand gravel base layer with a thickness of at least 200mm is recommended. This can be laid in two layers: an initial layer of gravel with a particle size of 5~32mm and a thickness of 100~150mm, topped with coarse sand not less than 50mm thick. The base density should meet the standards of Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or construction activities disturb the foundation, the foundation must be strengthened to meet the specified bearing capacity before laying the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the pipeline's designed earth arc foundation support angle must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should not be less than the supporting angle 2α plus 30, and the compactness of the backfill must comply with technical regulations.
 

 

3. During pipeline laying, grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections should be dug along with the pipeline. The groove's length, width, and depth should be determined based on the pipe joint size. Once the joint is completed, immediately backfill the groove with medium coarse sand to ensure density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline might occur due to factors like pipeline load and ground soil changes, reinforce the foundation before laying the pipeline.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, adopt composite methods such as sand piles and stone piles. Avoid rigid foundation treatment measures like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations.
