Installation Instructions

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and B and C tubes encompass mechanical connections and an array of thermal fusion techniques. The primary modes include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline should be supported by an earthen arc base. For typical soil quality, lay a medium coarse sand base layer, 100mm thick, on the undisturbed soil foundation or on a compacted backfill foundation beneath the pipe bottom. If the soil quality is poor, a gravel base layer of no less than 200mm thickness can be used, possibly in two layers: a lower layer of gravel with particle sizes between 5~32mm and 100~150mm thick, and an upper layer of coarse sand no less than 50mm thick. The base density must meet the requirements outlined in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design specifications or disturbed by factors such as construction precipitation, necessitating reinforcement, the foundation must first be strengthened. Upon achieving the specified bearing capacity, a medium coarse sand foundation layer should be laid.

2. The auxiliary corners within the supporting angle range of the designed earthen arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling area should extend at least 30 degrees beyond the supporting angle 2α, and the compactness must adhere to technical regulation standards.

3. The grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connection in the pipeline foundation should be dug concurrently with the pipeline laying. The length, width, and depth of the groove should align with the pipe joint size. Once the joint is complete, backfill the groove immediately with medium coarse sand to the appropriate density.

4. In areas where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline might occur due to load or soil variation, reinforce the foundation before pipeline installation.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, utilize composite methods such as sand piles and stone piles. Avoid rigid foundation treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations.
