1. When installing buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, it is paramount to exclusively utilize the electric fusion welding and hot melt docking techniques. These methods are meticulously crafted for enhanced performance and longevity. Avoid the use of screw connections or bonding methods, as they can significantly compromise the structural integrity and robustness of the pipeline. Ensure every polyethylene water supply pipeline connection is performed with precision using tools specifically designed for this purpose. Moreover, refrain from using open flames during the heating process to avoid potential damage and maintain the utmost safety.
2. For superior compatibility and reliability, connect polyethylene pipes using PE pipes and fittings that share the same brand, material, and SDR rating. Prior to initiating the connection process, perform a comprehensive test to ensure the quality meets the stringent required standards, thus ensuring a secure, dependable, and long-lasting pipeline system.
3. In the process of joining polyethylene water supply pipelines, it is essential to maintain the pipe ends in pristine condition to facilitate a seamless and efficient connection. At the end of each session's work, temporarily seal the pipe openings to prevent any contamination. After each connection, promptly inspect the interface to ensure it is robust and devoid of any defects.
4. For optimal heat transfer and connection quality, both before and after performing hot melt butt welding, meticulously clean the heating plate using a pristine cotton cloth. Follow the specified heating time and temperature guidelines provided by the manufacturers of the hot melt butt welding machine, as well as the pipes and fittings, to achieve the highest quality results.
5. Adhere to the prescribed pressure holding and cooling durations for hot melt butt welding, as outlined by both the equipment and pipe manufacturers. During these crucial periods, it is vital to refrain from moving or applying any pressure to the connecting parts, ensuring a strong, stable, and enduring connection.
6. Following the connection, conduct a rigorous water pressure test on the pipes within one hour of completing the hot-melt weld. This is critical to verify the integrity and reliability of the pipeline. Secure the pipeline and expose the joints before the hydrostatic test. Fill the pipeline with water, purge all air, and check for water tightness, confirming a successful and flawless connection.
7. The pipeline engineering construction reaches operational status only after a successful final acceptance inspection, ensuring all standards and specifications are meticulously met. This guarantees a safe, efficient, and effective water supply system that stands the test of time.
