The connection modes of HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes encompass a variety of advanced techniques, including mechanical connection and an array of thermal fusion procedures. The primary methods are butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection. Each method ensures a robust and durable linkage tailored to meet specific engineering requirements.

1. The pipeline should be laid on a stable earth arc foundation. For general soil quality, a base layer of medium coarse sand, 100mm thick, should be placed on either an undisturbed soil foundation or a foundation compacted with backfill below the pipe bottom. In cases of poor soil quality, a base layer of gravel and coarse sand no less than 200mm thick can be used, laid in two layers: the lower layer comprising gravel particles sized 5~32mm with a 100~150mm thickness, and the upper layer consisting of coarse sand with a thickness of at least 50mm. The density of the base must meet the requirements stipulated in Table 2. For soft soil foundations with insufficient bearing capacity or those affected by factors like construction precipitation, initial soil disturbance, and compromised surface bearing capacity, the foundation must first be reinforced. Only after achieving the specified bearing capacity should the medium coarse sand foundation layer be laid.

2. The axillary corner within the designed supporting angle range of the earth arc foundation for the pipeline must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should be at least the supporting angle 2α plus 30°, and the backfilling compactness must comply with the specified technical regulations to ensure stability.

3. Socket interface and sleeve connection grooves in the pipeline foundation should be excavated concurrently with the pipeline installation. The dimensions of these grooves-length, width, and depth-should be tailored to the pipe joint size. Upon completing the joint, the grooves must be promptly backfilled with medium coarse sand to ensure proper density and support.

4. For pipeline sections susceptible to longitudinal uneven settlement due to factors such as pipeline load and ground soil variations, the foundation should be reinforced before laying the pipeline. This preemptive measure ensures the longevity and reliability of the pipeline system.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, composite methods like sand piles and stone piles are recommended. It is advised to avoid rigid foundation treatments such as driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations, as these do not provide the necessary flexibility and adaptability required for polyethylene drainage systems.
