Installation Instructions

 

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes encompass both mechanical and advanced thermal fusion techniques. The primary methods include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline should rest on an earth arc foundation. For general soil conditions, lay a 100mm thick medium coarse sand base layer on the undisturbed soil foundation or a compacted backfill foundation beneath the pipe. For poor soil quality, use a sand gravel base layer at least 200mm thick, which can be laid in two layers: a lower layer of gravel with a particle size of 5-32mm and a thickness of 100-150mm, and an upper layer of coarse sand at least 50mm thick. The base density must comply with the provisions of Table 2. If the foundation is soft and does not meet design bearing capacity requirements or is disturbed due to construction precipitation, the foundation must be reinforced to meet specified bearing capacity before laying the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. This backfilling range should extend beyond the supporting angle 2α by at least 30 degrees, and the compactness must adhere to technical regulations.
 

 

3. Grooves in the socket interface and sleeve connection within the pipeline foundation should be excavated concurrently with the pipeline laying. The groove's length, width, and depth should match the pipe joint size. Once the joint is completed, backfill the area with medium coarse sand immediately to ensure density.

4. If there is potential for longitudinal uneven settlement due to factors such as pipeline load and soil variability, reinforce the foundation prior to laying the pipeline.
For foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, adopt composite methods like sand pile or stone pile treatments. Rigid methods such as driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations are not suitable and should be avoided.
