Installation Instructions

 

1. For the seamless installation of buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, it is crucial to exclusively utilize electric fusion welding and hot melt docking techniques. Under no circumstances should screw connections or bonding be employed. Each type of polyethylene water supply pipeline connection must be performed with specialized tools. Never use open flames for heating during the connection process.

2. Ensure that all polyethylene pipes are connected using PE pipes and fittings of the same brand, material, and SDR rating. Before initiating the connection, carry out a meticulous test to verify the quality meets the necessary standards.

3. When joining polyethylene water supply pipelines, make certain that the pipe ends are immaculate. Temporarily seal the pipe openings at the end of each work session. Conduct an immediate inspection of the interface upon completing each connection.

 

4. Thoroughly clean the heating plate with a pristine cotton cloth both before and after performing hot melt butt welding. Stringently adhere to the heating time and temperature guidelines specified by the manufacturers of the hot melt butt welding machine, pipes, and fittings.

5. Observe the specified pressure holding and cooling durations for hot melt butt welding as outlined by the equipment and pipe manufacturers. During these intervals, ensure there is no movement or application of pressure to the connecting parts.

6. After completing the connection, it is vital to conduct a water pressure test on the pipes. This test should be performed within one hour after the hot-melt weld is completed. Secure the pipeline and expose the joints before the hydrostatic test. Fill the pipeline with water, expel any trapped air, and then check for watertightness.

7. The pipeline engineering construction will be deemed operational only after successfully passing a thorough final acceptance inspection.
