Installation Instructions
1. For a flawless installation of buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, exclusively utilize electric fusion welding and hot melt docking methods. Under no circumstances should screw connections or bonding be employed. Specialized tools must be used for each type of polyethylene water supply pipeline connection. Avoid using open flames for heating during the connection process to ensure safety and integrity.
2. Ensure that polyethylene pipes are connected using PE pipes and fittings of the same brand, material, and SDR rating. Before beginning the connection process, conduct a thorough test to confirm the quality meets the highest standards required.
3. During the joining of polyethylene water supply pipelines, maintain the pipe ends in pristine condition. Temporarily seal pipe openings at the end of each work session. Immediately inspect the interface upon completing the connection to ensure a secure and reliable bond.
4. Before and after hot melt butt welding, meticulously clean the heating plate with a pristine cotton cloth. Adhere strictly to the specified heating time and temperature guidelines provided by the manufacturers of both the hot melt butt welding machine and the pipes and fittings.
5. Follow the prescribed pressure holding and cooling durations for hot melt butt welding as stipulated by the equipment and pipe manufacturers. During these critical periods, it is essential not to move or apply pressure to the connecting parts to maintain the integrity of the joint.
6. Post-connection, conduct a water pressure test on the pipes within 1 hour after completing the hot-melt weld. Secure the pipeline and expose the joints prior to the hydrostatic test. Fill the pipeline with water, purge all air, and then meticulously check for water tightness to ensure a leak-free system.
7. The pipeline engineering construction can only be deemed operational after successfully passing the final acceptance inspection. This ensures that all work meets the stringent standards required for reliable and safe operation.
