Installation Instructions

 

1. For installing buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, exclusively use electric fusion welding and hot melt docking methods. Screw connections and bonding are strictly prohibited. Ensure that each polyethylene water supply pipeline connection is accomplished with specialized tools. Avoid using open flames during the connection process.

2. Polyethylene pipes must be connected using PE pipes and fittings of the same brand, material, and SDR rating. Before commencing the connection, conduct a thorough test to confirm the quality meets the required standards.

3. When joining polyethylene water supply pipelines, ensure that the pipe ends are pristine. Temporarily seal the pipe openings at the end of each work session. Immediately inspect the interface upon completing the connection.

 

4. Both before and after hot melt butt welding, thoroughly clean the heating plate with a pristine cotton cloth. Adhere to the heating time and temperature guidelines specified by the manufacturers of the hot melt butt welding machine and the pipes and fittings.

5. Follow the prescribed pressure holding and cooling durations for hot melt butt welding as outlined by the equipment and pipe manufacturers. During these periods, it is crucial not to move or apply pressure to the connecting parts.

6. Post-connection, conduct a water pressure test on the pipes within 1 hour after completing the hot-melt weld. Secure the pipeline and expose the joints before the hydrostatic test. Fill the pipeline with water, clear out any air, and check for water tightness.

7. The pipeline engineering construction can only be deemed operational after successfully passing the final acceptance inspection.
