Installation Instructions

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes encompass both mechanical connections and a variety of thermal fusion techniques. The primary methods include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connections, and compression connections.

1. The pipeline should be laid on a carefully prepared earth arc foundation. For typical soil conditions, a base layer of medium coarse sand, 100mm thick, should be placed on an undisturbed soil foundation or a compacted backfill foundation below the pipe's bottom. In cases of poor soil quality, a sand gravel base layer at least 200mm thick can be used, consisting of two layers: a lower layer of gravel (5-32mm particle size) that is 100-150mm thick, and an upper layer of coarse sand at least 50mm thick. The base density must meet the specifications of Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or is compromised by construction activities such as precipitation, the foundation must be reinforced. Once the foundation meets the required bearing capacity, a medium coarse sand base layer is laid.

2. The axillary corners within the support angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel. The backfilling area should exceed the support angle 2α by at least 30 degrees, and the compactness of the backfill should comply with technical regulations.

3. Grooves for socket interface and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be excavated concurrently with pipeline laying. The groove's dimensions—length, width, and depth—should be tailored to the pipe joint size. Once the jointing is completed, immediately backfill with medium coarse sand to the required density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement may occur due to pipeline load or changes in ground soil, the foundation must be reinforced prior to pipeline installation.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundations, use composite foundation treatments like sand piles or stone piles. Avoid rigid foundation treatments such as driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations.
