Installation Instructions

 

1. To ensure a seamless and secure installation of buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, exclusively utilize electric fusion welding and hot melt docking methods. Both screw connections and bonding are strictly off-limits. It is crucial to employ specialized tools for each type of polyethylene water supply pipeline connection. Under no circumstances should open flames be used for heating during this process.

2. Always connect polyethylene pipes using PE pipes and fittings that share the same brand, material, and SDR rating. Before beginning any connection, a meticulous test is mandatory to confirm that the quality meets all required standards.

3. When joining polyethylene water supply pipelines, the pipe ends must be impeccably clean. At the end of each work session, temporarily seal the pipe openings. Upon completing the connection, immediately inspect the interface for any discrepancies.

 

4. Prior to and following hot melt butt welding, clean the heating plate thoroughly with a pristine cotton cloth. Follow the specific heating time and temperature guidelines provided by the manufacturers of the hot melt butt welding machine, as well as the pipes and fittings.

5. Adhere strictly to the prescribed pressure holding and cooling durations for hot melt butt welding as outlined by the equipment and pipe manufacturers. During these critical periods, it is imperative that the connecting parts remain immobile and free from any applied pressure.

6. After completing the connection, a water pressure test on the pipes is essential. Conduct this test within 1 hour of completing the hot-melt weld. Ensure the pipeline is secured, with joints exposed, before the hydrostatic test. Fill the pipeline with water, expel all air, and check meticulously for water tightness.

7. The pipeline engineering project can only be considered operational after it has successfully passed the final acceptance inspection, ensuring all standards and requirements are met.
