Installation Instructions

 

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows, as well as B and C tubes, include both mechanical and thermal fusion techniques. The primary methods are: butt fusion, electrofusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection. Each mode ensures a secure and reliable joint, tailored to withstand various environmental conditions and stresses.

1. The pipeline should be installed on an earth arc foundation. For general soil conditions, lay a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand on the undisturbed soil foundation or a backfilled and compacted foundation beneath the pipe. If the soil quality is poor, use a sand gravel base layer of at least 200mm thickness, which can be laid in two layers: the lower layer consists of gravel with particle sizes of 5~32mm and a thickness of 100~150mm, while the upper layer consists of coarse sand with a thickness of no less than 50mm. The base density must comply with the standards outlined in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or disturbed due to construction or precipitation, the foundation must be strengthened to meet the specified bearing capacity before laying the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the designed supporting angle of the earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilled area should extend beyond the supporting angle 2α by at least 30°, and the backfilling compactness must adhere to the technical regulations.
 

 

3. Dig grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connections along with the pipeline laying. The length, width, and depth of the groove should correspond to the pipe joint size. After completing the joint, immediately backfill the area with medium coarse sand to ensure proper density and stability.

4. For sections of the pipeline where longitudinal uneven settlement may occur due to factors such as pipeline load and changes in ground soil, reinforce the foundation before laying the pipeline to ensure stability and longevity.
Utilize composite foundation treatment methods such as sand piles and stone piles for polyethylene drainage pipe foundations. Avoid rigid foundation treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations to ensure flexibility and durability.
