Installation Instructions
 

The connection modes of HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes encompass a versatile array of mechanical connections and advanced thermal fusion procedures. The primary methods include: butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline must be supported by an earthen arc base. For general soil quality, a 100mm-thick layer of medium coarse sand should be laid on undisturbed soil or a compacted backfill foundation below the pipe. When foundation soil quality is poor, a sand gravel base layer of at least 200mm thickness can be utilized. This can be laid in two layers: a lower layer of gravel (particle size 5~32mm, thickness 100~150mm) and an upper layer of coarse sand (thickness not less than 50mm). Base density must adhere to Table 2 standards. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or affected by surface issues due to construction precipitation, the foundation must be reinforced to meet specified bearing capacities before laying the medium coarse sand base layer.

2. The axillary corners within the supporting angle range of the designed earthen arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should extend beyond the supporting angle 2α plus 30, and the compactness must comply with technical regulations.

3. Grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connection in the pipeline foundation should be dug in conjunction with the pipeline laying. The groove dimensions (length, width, depth) can be determined based on the pipe joint size. After joint completion, the area should be immediately backfilled with medium coarse sand to the required density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to factors such as pipeline load and ground soil changes, foundation reinforcement must be completed before laying the pipeline.
Composite foundation treatment methods such as sand piles or stone piles should be utilized for the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes. Rigid foundation treatments, including driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations, are not recommended.
