Installation Instructions
 

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and B and C tubes include both mechanical connections and a variety of thermal fusion procedures. The primary methods are butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline should be supported by an earthen arc. For typical soil conditions, a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand should be applied on top of the undisturbed soil foundation or compacted backfill foundation beneath the pipe. If the soil quality is poor, a thicker base layer of at least 200mm of sand and gravel may be used, which can be laid in two layers: a lower layer of gravel with particle sizes of 5-32mm and a thickness of 100-150mm, and an upper layer of coarse sand at least 50mm thick. The base density must comply with Table 2 provisions. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity falls short of design requirements or is compromised due to construction or precipitation, the foundation must be reinforced before laying the medium coarse sand base layer to meet the required bearing capacity.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation for the pipeline must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. This backfill should extend at least 30 degrees beyond the supporting angle 2α and must adhere to the compactness standards specified in the technical regulations.

3. Grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be excavated concurrently with the pipeline laying. The groove dimensions-length, width, and depth-should match the pipe joint size. Once the joint is completed, the groove should be backfilled with medium coarse sand immediately to ensure proper density.

4. In sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline might occur due to pipeline load or soil changes, foundation reinforcement is required before laying the pipeline.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundation treatment, methods such as sand piles and stone piles should be used. Avoid rigid foundation treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations.
