Installation Instructions

 

1. For the installation of buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, it is vital to employ electric fusion welding and hot melt docking methods exclusively. Screw connections and bonding are strictly forbidden. Make sure each polyethylene water supply pipeline connection is executed using dedicated tools. Refrain from using open flames for heating during the connection process.

2. Polyethylene pipes must be connected with PE pipes and fittings of the same brand, material, and SDR rating. Before starting the connection, perform a comprehensive test to ensure the quality meets the required standards.

3. When joining polyethylene water supply pipelines, ensure the pipe ends are immaculate. Temporarily seal pipe openings at the end of each work session. Inspect the interface immediately upon completing the connection.

 

4. Clean the heating plate thoroughly with a pristine cotton cloth both before and after performing hot melt butt welding. Adhere strictly to the heating time and temperature guidelines specified by the manufacturers of the hot melt butt welding machine and the pipes and fittings.

5. Follow the prescribed pressure holding and cooling durations for hot melt butt welding as outlined by the equipment and pipe manufacturers. It is crucial not to move or apply pressure to the connecting parts during these periods.

6. After completing the connection, it is essential to conduct a water pressure test on the pipes. Perform this test within one hour after completing the hot-melt weld. Secure the pipeline and expose the joints before the hydrostatic test. Fill the pipeline with water, remove any air, and then check for water tightness.

7. The pipeline engineering construction can only be deemed operational after successfully passing the final acceptance inspection.
