Installation Instructions

The connection modes of HDPE double-wall bellows and B and C tubes include various advanced mechanical and thermal fusion procedures. These primary methods encompass butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline should be based on an earth arc. For general soil quality, a layer of medium coarse sand with a thickness of 100mm should be laid on either an undisturbed soil foundation or a backfill-compacted foundation below the pipe bottom. When the soil quality is poor, a sand-gravel base layer of at least 200mm thickness can be used. Alternatively, it can be laid in two layers: a lower layer of 5~32mm gravel, 100~150mm thick, and an upper layer of coarse sand, no less than 50mm thick. The base density must meet the specifications in Table 2. In soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is less than required or compromised due to factors like construction precipitation, the foundation must first be strengthened. Once the specified bearing capacity is achieved, the medium coarse sand foundation layer is laid.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation of the pipeline must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should be no less than the supporting angle 2α plus 30, and the compactness of the backfill must adhere to the technical regulations.

3. For socket interface grooves and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation, the grooves should be dug concurrently with the pipeline laying. The groove's length, width, and depth can be determined based on the pipe joint size. After completing the joint, the groove should be immediately backfilled with medium coarse sand to ensure proper density.

4. For pipeline sections where longitudinal uneven settlement may occur due to factors like pipeline load and soil changes, the foundation should be reinforced before laying the pipeline.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, methods such as sand piles or stone piles should be used. Rigid foundation treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations should be avoided.
