Installation Instructions
1. To ensure the pinnacle of performance and longevity in buried polyethylene water supply pipelines, it's imperative to exclusively use electric fusion welding and hot melt docking methods. The use of screw connections or bonding is strictly off-limits as these methods can undermine the pipeline's structural integrity. Every type of polyethylene water supply pipeline connection must be executed with precision-engineered specialized tools. Steer clear of open flames for heating during connections to safeguard the pipeline and prioritize safety.
2. To guarantee the utmost reliability and compatibility, polyethylene pipes must be interconnected using PE pipes and fittings of identical brand, material, and SDR rating. Before any connection work begins, it's crucial to perform a thorough quality test to ensure that standards are met, thereby ensuring a secure and enduring pipeline.
3. For seamless and efficient joining of polyethylene water supply pipelines, it is key to keep pipe ends pristine. To avoid contamination, temporarily seal pipe openings at the end of each work session. Upon completing the connection, promptly inspect the interface to confirm it is secure and free from any defects.
4. Before and after executing hot melt butt welding, a meticulous cleaning of the heating plate with a pristine cotton cloth is essential for optimal heat transfer and superior connection quality. Diligently adhere to the specified heating time and temperature guidelines provided by the manufacturers of both the welding machine and the pipes and fittings, to achieve the best possible results.
5. Adhering strictly to the manufacturer-prescribed pressure holding and cooling durations during hot melt butt welding is crucial. During these critical phases, it is vital not to move or exert any pressure on the connecting parts to secure a strong and stable connection.
6. After completing the connection, a water pressure test on the pipes should be conducted within one hour to confirm the pipeline's integrity and reliability. Secure the pipeline and expose the joints before conducting the hydrostatic test. Fill the pipeline with water, purge all air, and meticulously check for water tightness to ensure a flawless connection.
7. Pipeline engineering construction is only deemed operational after successfully passing the final acceptance inspection, confirming that all standards and specifications are met, resulting in a safe and efficient water supply system.
