The connection modes of HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes encompass a variety of sophisticated techniques, including both mechanical connections and a suite of advanced thermal fusion procedures. The primary methods featured are butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection. Each technique ensures a robust, leak-proof fit, optimizing performance and reliability.
1. The pipeline should rest on a stable earth arc foundation. For typical soil conditions, a base layer of medium coarse sand, about 100mm thick, is recommended to be laid on undisturbed soil or compacted backfill below the pipe's base. In cases where the soil foundation quality is compromised, adopt a sand gravel base layer no less than 200mm thick. This can be applied in two layers: the lower layer with gravel particles sized between 5~32mm and a thickness of 100~150mm, and the upper layer with coarse sand not less than 50mm thick. Ensure the base density adheres to the standards outlined in Table 2. With soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity falls short of design specifications or is compromised by factors like construction precipitation, it is imperative to first reinforce the foundation. Once the foundation achieves the designated bearing capacity, proceed with laying the medium coarse sand foundation.
2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil to ensure stability. The backfill must extend beyond the supporting angle 2α by at least 30 degrees, with the compactness of the backfill meeting technical regulation standards for optimal support and integrity.
3. As the pipeline foundation is laid, grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connections should be precisely excavated. The dimensions of these grooves—length, width, and depth—should be tailored to accommodate the specific pipe joint size. Once a joint is securely completed, promptly backfill the area with medium coarse sand to achieve the required density, ensuring seamless integration and stability.
4. In sections where there is potential for longitudinal uneven settlement due to variables like pipeline load or soil changes, it's crucial to reinforce the foundation prior to pipeline installation. This proactive measure mitigates uneven settlement risks, safeguarding the pipeline's structural integrity and longevity.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundation treatments, utilize composite methods such as sand pile or stone pile techniques. Rigid foundation approaches, like driven piles, concrete pads, or strip foundations, should be avoided. These flexible solutions are tailored to provide the necessary support while maintaining adaptability to ground movement.
