Installation Instructions

The connection modes for HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes include mechanical connections and a variety of thermal fusion procedures. The primary methods encompass butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connections, and compression connections. Each mode ensures a robust and long-lasting assembly, providing superior efficiency and reliability in diverse applications.

1. The pipeline installation shall be based on an earth arc. For general soil quality, a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand should be laid on the undisturbed soil foundation or the compacted soil foundation below the pipe. If the foundation soil quality is poor, a sand gravel base layer with a thickness of no less than 200mm can be used. This can be laid in two layers: the lower layer consisting of 100-150mm thick gravel (particle size 5-32mm), and the upper layer of coarse sand with a thickness of at least 50mm. The base density must adhere to the specifications in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity falls below design requirements or is affected by surface disturbances due to construction precipitation, the foundation must be reinforced. Once the specified bearing capacity is met, a medium coarse sand foundation layer should be laid.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should be no less than the supporting angle 2α plus 30 degrees, and the compactness of the backfill must comply with the technical regulations.

3. Grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be dug concurrently with the pipeline laying. The dimensions of the groove—length, width, and depth—should be determined based on the pipe joint size. Once the joint is completed, the groove should be immediately backfilled with medium coarse sand to ensure proper density and stability.

4. In sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to factors like pipeline load and ground soil changes, the foundation must be reinforced before laying the pipeline. This ensures the longevity and structural integrity of the installation.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, composite methods such as sand piles or stone piles should be employed. Rigid foundation treatment measures, including driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations, should be avoided to ensure flexibility and proper support.
