Installation Instructions

 

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and B and C tubes encompass mechanical connections and a series of thermal fusion procedures. The primary methods include: butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline foundation should be based on an earthen arc. For general soil, a layer of medium-coarse sand, 100mm thick, should be laid on undisturbed or compacted backfill soil. If the soil is poor, use a sand-gravel base layer at least 200mm thick, possibly laid in two layers: the lower layer, 5-32mm gravel, 100-150mm thick, and the upper layer, coarse sand, at least 50mm thick. The base density must comply with Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or compromised due to construction precipitation, the foundation must be strengthened before laying the medium-coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the support angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium-coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range shall be no less than the supporting angle 2α plus 30 degrees, and the compactness must adhere to technical regulations.
 

 

3. Grooves in the socket interface and sleeve connection in the pipeline foundation should be dug in tandem with pipeline laying. The groove's dimensions depend on the pipe joint size. Once the joint is completed, backfill the area with medium-coarse sand immediately.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement might occur due to pipeline load or soil changes, the foundation should be reinforced before laying the pipeline.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, adopt composite methods like sand piles or stone piles. Avoid rigid treatments such as driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations.
