Installation Instructions

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes are diverse, encompassing both mechanical connections and advanced thermal fusion techniques. These include butt fusion, electrofusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection, ensuring robust and reliable integration.

1. Pipeline installation should rest on an earth arc foundation. For general soil quality, a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand should be laid on the undisturbed soil foundation or on a well-compacted backfill layer below the pipe bottom. If the soil quality is subpar, a sand gravel base layer at least 200mm thick is recommended, possibly laid in two layers: a lower layer of gravel (5-32mm particle size, 100-150mm thick) and an upper layer of coarse sand (at least 50mm thick). The base density must meet the specifications outlined in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity falls short of design requirements or is compromised due to construction-related factors like precipitation, the foundation's original soil must be reinforced. Once the specified bearing capacity is achieved, the medium coarse sand foundation layer can be applied.

2. The axillary corner within the support angle range of the designed earth arc foundation of the pipeline must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should extend at least 30 degrees beyond the support angle 2α, and the compactness of the backfill must adhere to the technical regulations.

3. Grooves in the socket interface and sleeve connection of the pipeline foundation should be dug concurrently with the pipeline laying. The groove’s length, width, and depth should be determined based on the pipe joint size. Upon completion of the joint, promptly backfill the grooves with medium coarse sand to ensure proper density.

4. In sections where longitudinal uneven settlement may occur due to pipeline load or ground soil changes, foundation reinforcement is necessary prior to pipeline installation.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundations, composite treatment methods such as sand piles and stone piles are recommended. Avoid using rigid foundation treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations to maintain flexibility and durability.
