Installation Instructions

 

The connection modes of HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes encompass a variety of mechanical and thermal fusion procedures. These primarily include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection. Each method offers a unique approach to ensuring a robust and secure pipeline system.

1. The pipeline installation should be based on an earth arc. For general soil quality, begin with a 100mm layer of medium coarse sand on the undisturbed soil foundation or a compacted backfill foundation below the pipe. If the foundation soil is poor, use a sand gravel base layer of at least 200mm, which can be laid in two layers: a lower layer of gravel (5~32mm particle size, 100~150mm thick) and an upper layer of coarse sand (minimum thickness of 50mm). The base density must meet the specifications outlined in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity falls short of design requirements or is impacted by construction precipitation, the foundation must first be strengthened. Once the required bearing capacity is achieved, a medium coarse sand foundation layer can be applied.

2. The axillary corners within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation of the pipeline must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should extend beyond the supporting angle 2α by at least 30 degrees, and the compactness of the backfill must adhere to the technical regulation provisions.
 

 

3. When laying the pipeline, grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connection should be excavated concurrently. The groove dimensions (length, width, and depth) should align with the pipe joint size. Once the joint is completed, backfill the area with medium coarse sand immediately to ensure density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement might occur due to pipeline load or soil changes, the foundation must be reinforced before laying the pipeline. This preemptive measure ensures the stability and longevity of the pipeline system.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundations, utilize composite foundation treatments such as sand pile and stone pile methods. Avoid rigid foundation treatments like driven pile, concrete pad, and concrete strip foundation, as these methods are not suitable for polyethylene drainage systems.
