Installation Instructions

 

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes incorporate both mechanical connections and a series of thermal fusion techniques. Key methods include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connections, and compression connections.

1. The pipeline should be laid on an earth arc foundation. For general soil quality, a layer of medium coarse sand with a thickness of 100mm should be laid on the undisturbed soil foundation or a properly compacted backfill foundation beneath the pipe. When the foundation soil quality is poor, use a sand-gravel base layer with a thickness of at least 200mm, which can be laid in two layers: the lower layer made of gravel with a particle size of 5~32mm and thickness of 100~150mm, and the upper layer of coarse sand with a thickness of at least 50mm. The base density must comply with the provisions of Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or disturbed due to construction precipitation, the foundation must be strengthened before laying the medium coarse sand foundation.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation of the pipeline must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfill range should not be less than the supporting angle 2α plus 30 degrees, and the backfill compactness must meet the technical regulations.
 

 

3. The grooves in the socket interface and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be dug in conjunction with the pipeline laying. The groove's length, width, and depth should be determined based on the pipe joint size. Post-joint completion, the density must be backfilled with medium coarse sand immediately.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to factors such as pipeline load and ground soil changes, the foundation should be reinforced before pipeline installation.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, composite methods like sand pile and stone pile should be adopted. Rigid foundation treatment methods such as driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations are not recommended.
