Installation Instructions

The Wilvida Double Wall HDPE Ventilation System offers a versatile range of connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes. These include advanced mechanical connections and a series of thermal fusion techniques. The primary methods are butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connections, and compression connections. Each method ensures a secure and reliable joint, tailored to meet your specific installation needs.

1. The pipeline should be laid on a stable earth arc foundation. For general soil conditions, a 100mm layer of medium coarse sand should be placed on the undisturbed soil foundation or on a compacted backfill below the pipe. If the foundation soil quality is poor, use a sand-gravel base layer with a minimum thickness of 200mm. This can be laid in two layers: the lower layer should consist of gravel sized 5~32mm with a thickness of 100~150mm, and the upper layer should be coarse sand with a thickness of at least 50mm. The base density must meet the specifications outlined in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or disturbed by construction activities such as precipitation, the foundation must be reinforced first. Once the required bearing capacity is achieved, lay the medium coarse sand foundation layer accordingly.

2. The axillary corners within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should not be less than the supporting angle 2α plus 30 degrees, and the compactness of the backfill must comply with the technical regulations.

3. During the pipeline laying process, grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connections should be excavated simultaneously. The dimensions of the groove—length, width, and depth—should be determined based on the pipe joint size. After completing the joint, promptly backfill the area with medium coarse sand and ensure proper compaction.

4. For sections where the pipeline might experience longitudinal uneven settlement due to factors such as load variations or soil changes, reinforce the foundation thoroughly before laying the pipeline.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundation treatment, employ composite methods like sand or stone piles. Avoid rigid foundation treatments such as driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations. These methods ensure robust support without compromising the integrity of the drainage system.
