Installation Instructions
 

The connection modes of HDPE double-wall bellows and B and C tubes include a variety of mechanical connection and advanced thermal fusion techniques. The primary methods are butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline installation should commence on a natural earth arc foundation. For general soil conditions, a layer of medium-coarse sand base, 100mm thick, should be laid on the undisturbed soil foundation or a compacted backfill foundation below the pipe. When soil quality is suboptimal, a sand-gravel base layer of at least 200mm thick should be used, which may be laid in two layers: the lower layer comprising gravel with a particle size of 5-32mm and a thickness of 100-150mm, and the upper layer being coarse sand with a minimum thickness of 50mm. The base density must adhere to the stipulations in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity falls short of design requirements or if construction activities disturb the foundation, thus affecting its bearing capacity, the foundation must be reinforced. After achieving the specified bearing capacity, a medium-coarse sand foundation layer should be laid.

2. The axillary corner within the support angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled using medium-coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling extent should be no less than the supporting angle 2α plus 30 degrees, and the compactness of the backfill must comply with the technical regulations.

3. The grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connection in the pipeline foundation should be excavated simultaneously with the pipe laying process. The excavation dimensions-length, width, and depth-should match the pipe joint size. Upon joint completion, backfill the density immediately with medium-coarse sand.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline might occur due to pipeline load or ground soil changes, the foundation must be reinforced prior to laying the pipeline.
Sand piles, stone piles, and other composite foundation treatments should be employed for the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes. Avoid using rigid foundation treatments such as driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations.
