Installation Instructions

 

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes encompass a variety of mechanical and thermal fusion techniques. The primary methods include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection, each ensuring a robust and leak-proof assembly.

1. The pipeline should be founded on an earth arc. For typical soil conditions, a 100mm layer of medium coarse sand should be laid on the undisturbed soil or compacted backfill below the pipe. In cases of poor soil quality, a gravel base layer at least 200mm thick is recommended, which may be composed of two layers: a lower layer of 100-150mm gravel with particle sizes of 5-32mm, and an upper layer of at least 50mm of coarse sand. The base density must align with the standards specified in Table 2. For soft soil foundations where the bearing capacity is compromised due to factors like construction precipitation, the foundation must be reinforced to meet the required bearing capacity before laying the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the support angle range of the designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfill range should not be less than the support angle 2α plus 30 degrees, and the compactness must comply with technical regulations.
 

 

3. The grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connection in the pipeline foundation should be excavated as the pipeline is laid. The dimensions of the groove (length, width, and depth) should match the pipe joint size. Once the joint is positioned, the groove should be immediately backfilled with medium coarse sand to ensure proper density.

4. For sections prone to longitudinal uneven settlement due to pipeline load or soil changes, the foundation should be reinforced before laying the pipeline to prevent future issues.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, methods like sand piles and stone piles should be used. Rigid foundation treatments, such as driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations, should be avoided to maintain flexibility and integrity.
