Installation Instructions

 

The connection modes of HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes encompass mechanical connections and a suite of thermal fusion techniques. Key methods include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection, ensuring robust and reliable joint performance.

1. The pipeline should be securely based on an earth arc. For standard soil, lay a 100mm-thick layer of medium coarse sand on the undisturbed soil foundation or a compact backfilled foundation below the pipe bottom. In cases of poor soil quality, use a sand gravel base layer at least 200mm thick, or lay in two layers: a 100-150mm gravel layer with 5~32mm particles, topped by a coarse sand layer not less than 50mm thick. Ensure base density aligns with Table 2 specifications. For soft soil foundations, strengthen the foundation if the bearing capacity falls short of design requirements due to construction or precipitation. Once the desired bearing capacity is achieved, lay the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the designed earth arc foundation's supporting angle range must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling area should exceed the supporting angle 2α plus 30, and the compactness must meet technical regulations.
 

 

3. Grooves at the socket interface and sleeve connection in the foundation should be dug concurrently with pipeline laying. The groove's length, width, and depth should correspond to the pipe joint size. After joint completion, backfill the area with medium coarse sand for proper density.

4. For sections prone to longitudinal uneven settlement due to pipeline load or soil changes, reinforce the foundation before laying the pipeline to ensure stability.
Adopt composite foundation treatments like sand piles or stone piles for polyethylene drainage pipe foundations. Avoid rigid foundation methods such as driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations.
