Installation Instructions

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and B and C tubes feature both mechanical and thermal fusion processes. The primary techniques include butt fusion, electrofusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection, ensuring robust and reliable joints.

1. The pipeline should be established based on a natural earthen arc. For standard soil conditions, a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand should be applied on undisturbed soil or compacted backfill below the pipe. In cases of poor soil quality, use a sand-gravel base layer at least 200mm thick. This can be laid in two strata: the lower layer with gravel of 5~32mm particle size, 100~150mm thick, and the upper layer of coarse sand, no less than 50mm thick. The base density must conform to the guidelines in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements due to construction dewatering or other disturbances, the foundation must first be strengthened. Once the foundation meets the specified bearing capacity, the medium coarse sand layer can be laid.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earthen arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling area should exceed the supporting angle 2α by 30 degrees, and the compactness of the backfill must adhere to technical regulations.

3. Grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be dug as the pipeline is laid. The length, width, and depth of these grooves should match the pipe joint size. After completing the joint, the area should be immediately backfilled with medium coarse sand to the required density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement of the pipeline may occur due to load or ground soil changes, the foundation must be reinforced prior to laying the pipeline.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundations, adopt composite treatment methods like sand piles or stone piles. Avoid using rigid foundation treatments such as driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations.
