Installation Instructions

 

The versatile connection modes for HDPE double-wall bellows and B and C tubes incorporate both mechanical and thermal fusion procedures. Key methods include butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline installation should be based on an earthen arc. For typical soil conditions, lay a 100mm-thick medium coarse sand base layer on the undisturbed soil foundation or on a backfilled, compacted foundation below the pipe. In cases of poor soil quality, use a sand gravel base layer no less than 200mm thick, which can be applied in two layers: a 100-150mm thick lower layer of 5~32mm gravel, topped with a 50mm layer of coarse sand. Base density must adhere to Table 2 standards. For soft soils, if the foundation's bearing capacity is below design requirements or compromised due to construction precipitation, the foundation must be strengthened before laying the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corners within the designed earth arc foundation's supporting angle must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should extend beyond the supporting angle 2α plus 30, with compactness meeting technical regulation standards.
 

 

3. Grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation must be excavated during pipeline laying. The groove dimensions-length, width, and depth-should align with the pipe joint size. Upon joint completion, promptly backfill the groove with medium coarse sand to ensure density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement may occur due to factors such as pipeline load or soil changes, reinforce the foundation prior to laying the pipeline.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundations, employ composite foundation treatments like sand pile or stone pile methods. Avoid rigid treatments like driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations.
