Installation Instructions

 

The connection modes of HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes include mechanical connection and a series of thermal fusion procedures. The primary methods are butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline should be supported on an earth arc base. For general soil quality, lay a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand on undisturbed soil or a compacted backfill foundation. If the foundation's soil quality is poor, use a sand gravel base layer with a thickness of at least 200mm, potentially in two layers. The lower layer consists of 5~32mm gravel, 100~150mm thick, and the upper layer is coarse sand, no less than 50mm thick. The base density must meet the specifications in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or compromised by construction factors, first strengthen the foundation. After achieving the specified bearing capacity, lay the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range must be at least 2α plus 30 degrees, and the compactness must meet technical regulations.
 

 

3. Grooves in the socket interface and sleeve connection areas should be dug during pipeline laying. The groove's length, width, and depth depend on the pipe joint size. After joint completion, immediately backfill with medium coarse sand to the required density.

4. For sections where longitudinal uneven settlement may occur due to pipeline load or ground soil changes, the foundation should be reinforced before laying the pipeline.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, use composite methods like sand or stone piles. Do not use rigid treatments such as driven piles, concrete pads, or concrete strip foundations.
