Installation Instructions

The HDPE double-wall bellows and B and C tubes offer versatile connection methods, including advanced mechanical connections and an array of thermal fusion techniques. These primary methods encompass butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline should be supported on an earth arc foundation. For average soil conditions, lay a 100mm thick medium coarse sand base over the undisturbed soil or compacted backfill below the pipe. In cases of poor soil quality, a sand-gravel base layer of at least 200mm thickness is recommended. This can be laid in two layers: a lower layer of 100-150mm thick gravel (particle size 5-32mm) and an upper layer of coarse sand not less than 50mm thick. The base density must meet the specifications in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the bearing capacity is below design requirements or disturbed due to construction activities like precipitation, the foundation must be reinforced. Once the specified bearing capacity is achieved, the medium coarse sand foundation layer should be laid.

2. Within the supporting angle of the designed earth arc foundation, the axillary corner must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfill should extend at least 30° beyond the supporting angle 2α, and its compactness must adhere to technical regulations.

3. Grooves for socket interfaces and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be excavated in tandem with the pipeline laying process. The groove's dimensions—length, width, and depth—should match the pipe joint size. After joint completion, immediately backfill with medium coarse sand to the required density.

4. For sections susceptible to longitudinal uneven settlement due to pipeline load or ground soil variability, the foundation should be reinforced prior to pipeline installation.
For polyethylene drainage pipe foundations, adopt composite foundation treatment methods like sand piles and stone piles. Avoid rigid treatments such as driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations.
