Installation Instructions
 

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes feature mechanical connections and a variety of thermal fusion techniques. The main connection modes include butt fusion, electrofusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline should be established on an earthen arc. For general soil quality, place a 100mm thick layer of medium coarse sand on the undisturbed soil foundation or on a properly compacted backfilled foundation below the pipe. In cases of poor soil quality, use a sand gravel base layer with a minimum thickness of 200mm. This can be laid in two layers: the lower layer with 100-150mm of gravel sized 5-32mm, and the upper layer with coarse sand no less than 50mm thick. The base density must meet the specifications outlined in Table 2. For soft soil foundations, if the foundation's bearing capacity is below design requirements or disturbed due to construction or precipitation, it must be reinforced. Once the required bearing capacity is achieved, lay the medium coarse sand foundation layer.

2. The axillary corner within the support angle of the pipeline's designed earth arc foundation must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should extend beyond the support angle 2α plus 30 degrees, and the compactness of the backfill must comply with technical regulations.

3. The grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connections in the pipeline foundation should be excavated as the pipeline is laid. The dimensions of the grooves-length, width, and depth-should correspond to the pipe joint size. After joint completion, backfill the grooves with medium coarse sand immediately to ensure density.

4. For sections where there might be longitudinal uneven settlement due to pipeline load or ground soil changes, reinforce the foundation before laying the pipeline.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, use composite methods like sand piles or stone piles. Avoid rigid foundation treatments such as driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations.
