Installation Instructions

The connection methods for HDPE double-wall bellows and b and c tubes encompass both mechanical connections and a series of thermal fusion techniques. The primary methods include: butt fusion, electrical fusion, socket fusion, flange adapter connection, and compression connection.

1. The pipeline should be based on an earth arc. For general soil conditions, a layer of medium coarse sand with a thickness of 100mm should be laid over the undisturbed soil foundation or on a foundation with compacted backfill below the pipe's base. In cases where the foundation's soil quality is poor, a sand-gravel base layer with a minimum thickness of 200mm can be used. This can also be laid in two layers: the lower layer consisting of gravel with a particle size of 5~32mm and a thickness of 100~150mm, and the upper layer of coarse sand with a thickness of at least 50mm. Base density must adhere to the specifications in Table 2. For soft soil foundations where the bearing capacity is below design requirements, or due to construction dewatering and other factors that disturb the original soil and affect the foundation's bearing capacity, the foundation must first be reinforced. Once the specified bearing capacity is reached, the medium coarse sand foundation layer can be laid.

2. The axillary corner within the supporting angle range of the designed earth arc foundation for the pipeline must be backfilled with medium coarse sand or gravel soil. The backfilling range should not be less than the supporting angle 2α plus 30°, and the compactness of the backfill must comply with technical regulations.

3. Grooves for the socket interface and sleeve connection in the pipeline foundation should be dug concurrently with the pipeline laying process. The groove's length, width, and depth should be determined based on the pipe joint size. After joint completion, the grooves should be backfilled with medium coarse sand immediately to ensure proper density.

4. For any sections where longitudinal uneven settlement might occur due to factors like pipeline load and ground soil changes, the foundation must be reinforced before laying the pipeline.
For the foundation treatment of polyethylene drainage pipes, methods such as sand piles, stone piles, and other composite foundation treatments should be employed. Rigid foundation treatment measures like driven piles, concrete pads, and concrete strip foundations should not be used.
